WL//WH New Music STARTOGRAPHERS
Austin, Texas Alt Rock / Shoegaze band STARTOGRAPHERS and Kyoto, Japan Emo Rock / Dream Pop band NIM have joined forces with the brand new Split 7″ Vinyl single dropped on the 8th of October by Shifting Sounds (North America, UK, Europe) and by Stiff Slack / JETSET Records in Japan.
Startographers, made up of Ian Lund (Guitar), Brandon Tucker (Bass Guitar), Christian Kyle (Guitar, Vocals), and Alan Takaoka (Drums), have teased the release with the Official Music Video for “Ante Meridiem”, featuring Hisana Nogami from nim / appi on backing vocals.

The refreshing and engrossing track stems from the most atmospheric, hazy and dreamy late 80s shoegaze sound with 90s catchy Britpop leanings, through a shimmering, trembling, lush tapestry with an edge of distortion, woven by vibrant strummed guitar riffs, lilted by sinuously warm humming bass pulses along with shifting drums, embracing angsty, sad male vocals, lifting into high hope, amid Hisana’s supportive celestial skies.
The visuals by Craig Knapp and Brandon Tucker shuffle depth-defying cosmic imagery with Startographers as they perform “Ante Meridiem” under trace overlays of back-up singer Hisana Nogami (nim). To sync with the rushing flow energy of the soundtrack, a pink-haired Nogami wears a Tiffany & Co. heart chain necklace under a Japanese rooftop while the guys jam out in ATX, connecting seamlessly, unbound by time and space.
