WL//WH New Music: KRIMEA “Over and Over” (Official Music Video)

New Music  KRIMEA

Krimea, the Venice, Italy-based 80s tinged melancholic New Wave / Synth Pop duo of Alice Taylor (synth, keyboards, back-up vocals) and Nick SoLow (voice, bass, synth), shared a DIY Official Music Video for their third and final single, “Over and Over, taken from the just released debut album, “Are You Human?,” produced and mastered by William Benedetti.

The uptempo track “Over and Over” wends its way through heady, strobing moods to top a danceable bouncy floor of crisp, hypnotic beats and gloomy, throbbing bass loops with an emotional array of dire twinkling synths, haunted, sulking glows, and fearful shivering mists, to enclose distorted layers of annoyed male vocals, backed by shrilly female angst, in a droning vortex of conflicting thoughts.

In the DIY Official Video, a train track paved with black-and-white stones serves as the foundation for Krimea as they perform “Over and Over” in sync with the soundtrack. Glitchy editing, suggestive body language, and the symbolic use of color evoke ideas of longing, combativeness, and disunity at the hands of disconnection and inverted perception.
