Once again, a compelling second single, equally atmospheric, sombre, and danceable from the German solo artist’s deeply immersive, cold-synth-driven sound, replete with intense melancholy and emotional turmoil. Tackling monotony, norms, and nonsense, “Counting sand” layers metronomic drum programming, hypnotic throbbing bass loops and eerie ghostly synthesizers with haunted, hushed agonized vocals, rising with jagged anger to conjure up obsession and bitterness.

Poland-based Sad boi’s playground for the strange and peculiar takes us into a hauntingly immersive, poignant, and shadowy dance compelled by gurgling bass pulses, steady urgent rhythms and desolate meandering synth lines, to shiver along with a “mad ghost,” wandering the ruins of their former self, whilst luring with breathy, bewitching thoughts of forgetting, wickedness, and joker laughs.
