WL//WH Video of the Day: LAUNDROMAT CHICKS “Sunburn” (Official Music Video)

Video of the Day LAUNDROMAT CHICKS

After two years, Tobias Hammermuller (vocals, guitar, founder), Lena Pöttinger (drums), Theresa Strohmer (guitar, vocals), and Felix Schnabl (bass), the Viennese ‘nocturnal’ Jangle Pop four piece, Laundromat Chicks return to WL//WH with an Official Music Video by Arthur Gutmann and Louis Michot for the latest and second single of 2024, “Sunburn”, a tasty teaser of endearing melodic appeal from the forthcoming third album “Something Possessed”, scheduled for release on January 24, 2025 via Siluh Records

“Sunburn” is an emotional Americana-tinged jangling dulcet song about growing older and struggling to reconnect with a warm feeling of purpose, delivered by atmospheric vocals imbued with wistful nostalgia, longing over a moody swaying stream of steady mid-tempo drum beats and sullen bass pulses, layered with rolls of mellow piano keys, thrumming strums, and twangy guitar tones, to then screech and wail with obsessive, inherently frail, resonant intensity.

A heart-warming Western movie-style stop motion Video created by Arthur Gutmann and Louis Michot gives further insight into the aching melancholy of the soundtrack as we find out “Sunburn” was a pet horse who died. The vision is colorful and soul-stirring and is sure to make you smile and cry when the tragic hero, played by a toy cowboy, goes on a journey, finds new friends, and heals.

Keep up with Laundromat Chicks:
