WL//WH Track Of The Day: TWINS IN COLOUR “The Living Walk Among Us”

Track Of The Day  TWINS IN COLOUR

The Leipzig-based three-piece Twins in Colour are approaching the release of their long-awaited debut album, “We’ve been to the future“, due out on the 3rd of October via local independent DIY label All my ghosts.

After two singles, the latest, the evocative Lynchean “The perks of being a warflower”, accompanied also by a music video, which slipped away from us during the festive period, Twins in Colour dropped the final excerpt “The Living Walk Among Us”.

“Slowdiving into different waters of dark pop, wave and psychedelic rock”, the band displays a hued and multifaceted songwriting with a lingering chiaroscural undercurrent and profound emotional heap, all under a persistent veil of reflective melancholy.

Lyrically, “The Living Walk Among Us”  deals with the phases of consciousness/awareness through a lens of lights and darkness, dream and reality, having purpose and being lost, to evoke a deep sense of sadness and unease, whilst stirring the soul with direction and gleams of hope.

The heart-rending slow-burning song blends barren atmospheric folk ruminations and krautrock cadences with haunting, soulful vocals that glide somberly, stirred by rustling shimmery acoustic strums, as the tempo dimes towards hypnotic galloping motorik beats and warm humming bass pulsations, surrounded by deep, achingly poignant guitar slivers and droning undertones along with fluid, shivering keyboard washes and desolate twisted motifs, to softly sing, with stirring inflections, about life, death, and duty.

Twins in Colour‘s debut full-length album, “We’ve been to the future“, will be available in ltd. Vinyl 12″ & Digital formats, on October 3, 2025, via All My Ghosts label.
