Track Of The Day SLOW SALVATION
Slow Salvation, the cross-country collaborative project based in Nashville and New Jersey of Travis Trevisan (Tape Deck Mountain) and Christina Hernandez (Orion Lake), unveils “As We Decompose”, the first single from the upcoming sophomore full-length LP, “Gemini,” due out on May 30 via Velvet Blue Music.
Featuring the familiar collaborator Matt McCartie (Driver Eight, Theft) on drums and mastered by shoegaze pioneer musician Mark Gardner (of Ride), the song deals with the modern condition of living in a dream world set against the new age concept of divinity.
Sophisticated explorers of Dream-Pop and Shoegaze’s most atmospheric and immersive edges, the duo painstakingly chisels enveloping, cushiony reverb-laden soundscapes of crystalline, iridescent contemplative incantations.
“As We Decompose” stirs incessant drums and warm humming bass pulses, that constantly foster obsessive, pinpoint glistening guitar strings, ceaselessly flickering whilst suspended in an impalpable cold spectral ether, laced with hazy bulging reverberations and slightly distorted feather-light sheets sweeping in swirling airy orchestrations towards faraway and elusive horizons of transcendent infinitude, on which glide layered male/female celestial whispery vocals, gently spinning together and decomposing in a complete abandonment of the self.
Slow Salvation‘s upcoming sophomore studio album, “Gemini,” is scheduled for release, CD/12″ Vinyl/Cassette & Digital, on May 30 via Velvet Blue Music.
