A regular, appreciated guest since the onset of his artistic journey, both as a musician, singer, songwriter, photographer, and journalist, as well as the Crafting Room Recordings independent label founder (ELLiS D, Ideal Living, Maximilian, Wine Pride), Brighton, UK-based Archie Sagers returns with a WL//WH Premiere of the intimate DIY visuals for the new single “Silver Lake”.
Following his self-produced 2021 EP “New Colours In The Sky”, co-released with Californian indie imprint Spirit Goth Recordings (CASTLEBEAT, Vansire), Archie has been working to reinvent himself with a new body of work, using Shoegaze and New Wave elements as its sparkling foundation; “Silver Lake” is the first dreamy excerpt, featuring his partner Jasmine on backing vocals and Scott Alex Robinson (SPIKEMYHEART, Ahno) on swinging jazzy drums.

Lyrically, “Silver Lake” is a love song about helping a lost person out of the cold darkness by taking their hand and making a home with them.
Introspective, heartfelt moods stir loose drum beats to shuffle alongside lively, supple bass pulses, swaying with distant, dry, obsessive stringed guitar riffs, casting gleaming astral reflections colored by wistful piano keys, to surround gentle, thoughtful vocals and feathery celestial halos with vibrant radiating glows unto a catharsis of unwinding swirls.
The accompanied music video by Archie Sagers combines cozy car footage—think of a camera hovering at the dome light just behind the front seats—under very thin, but for the heavily saturated shines, nighttime travels to sync seamlessly with the exploration of the soundtrack. Home shots with intimate belongings and to-do lists, as well as the ultimate, title-inspired location of Silver Lake itself, make for a touching and personal story about young love that stirs the soul with nostalgia, melancholy, and joy.
The single “Silver Lake” by Archie Sagers is due July 10th via Crafting Room Recordings.
Keep up with Archie Sagers:
