WL//WH Premiere FRO Connectome Records
“Still Unspecified” EP is a new split release by Ukrainian label Connectome Records between South London-born, Boston-based music producer Signal 72 and Athens denizen producer Fro.
Both deliver Dark Electro with a modern twist and robotic rhythms. All tracks written on modular synthesizers, full of deep analog sounds, will transport you to a dark and futuristic mood. The artists have created a flawless partnership and exchanged remixes.
Fro is a producer and DJ based in Athens, Greece. His style is a combination of electro with EBM aesthetics, and has a wide range of frequencies between Breaks and Techno as well. He is also 1/2 of Monodroids electro project along RLCT, a resident member of Society3000 collective and host of Slam! Athens Queer Rave Parties along ClubKid.
Fro has released music with many electro labels such as Division Virtuel, Urban Distortions, Urban Connections, Tripalium Corp, Microm Records and others. He has also shared the stage with huge names of the scene, such as Luke Slater, Jensen Interceptor, Massimiliano Pagliara, Curses, Boris and many others.
WL//WH is pleased to premiere “DroidSelf”, which insinuates alienating futuristic visions of obsessive and mechanical dark electro, set in a menacing and stark post-industrial landscape. Slashing snares studded by thumping kicks are coursed by ominously oscillating, droning bass lines, layering with glitchy, bleeping FXs and swirling edgy arpeggios, to build into a disharmonious repetition of off-kilter, overloaded circuitry where intervals of robotic vocals angrily interject.
Signal 72 & Fro‘s upcoming digital split EP, “Still Unspecified”, will be released on October 10, 2025, via Connectome Records.
