Dresden, Germany-based enigmatic lo-fi post-punk /minimal wave solo act Die Wahrheit is going to drop the debut album “Der Tränen Deines Körpers”, via the brand new Montreal-based DIY label Le Feu Des Refusés.
WL//WH is very pleased to premiere “57 Luftballons”, a tribute to the popular early 80s pop/wave hit by German band Nena, somehow relevant to these days for its anti-war theme.
Die Wahrheit hacks up a surreal and twisted groovy industrial-electro-funk take, built on a lively and crackling rhythmic floor of slamming distorted snares, clattering hits, bouncy kicks and screwed basslines, with an acidic mechanical edge, swept by cold, airy buzzing emotional synth swells, alongside a floating and stuttering haunting “Luftballons” voice sample and muffled male echoes, to bring forth a sense of disconnection, angst, and longing, wrapped up in a nostalgic broken down mood.
Die Wahrheit‘s upcoming full-length album, “Der Tränen Deines Körpers”, will be released, Cassette & Digital, via the brand new Montreal-based DIY label Le Feu Des Refusés, on November 21, 2025.
