PICKS OF THE WEEK:

  • Lisbon, Portugal ambient /shoegaze /dream pop solo project of Ricardo Fiel, aka MOON COWBOY “Beehive” single

An immersive and comforting, mainly instrumental, new single from Lisbon‘s atmospheric shoegaze musician that spins through steady galloping drum beats to compel a boundless oneiric flux of shivering sweeping synths with layers of warm reverb-laden textured guitar shimmers and cool ethereal vocals, to conjure a feeling of flying, free, over a mesmerizing universe in sinuous endless expansion.

  • Washington D.C.-based indie rock music project led by singer-songwriter Dave Mann, aka  No One Sphere “Fingers to lips” from the single “The two party system is broken: volume 1”

A song about struggling to fit in amid chaotic social change, “Fingers to Lips” casts a rushing flow of 90s rocking energy weaved by crunchy, invigorating fuzzy guitar riffs and rippling vibrant wails, fueled by tight swinging drums and pulsing basslines, to dramatically sway around heartfelt angsty vocals and soft echoes, longing to feel alive under the harsh neon signs.
