In between a slew of live gigs, Draining, the South Australian Shoegaze outfit from Adelaide, drops an Official Music Video by Crystal Arrow for the new single “You & I”, a dire plea for help during a blind fall to death.
A dizzying mix of chasmic shoegaze shimmer and vocal vulnerability, ripped with screamo intensity, “You & I” drives apathy, dread, and helplessness through obsessive nervous and squealing guitars, ringing out over a relentless tumult of powerful drum beats and hypnotic grinding bass throbs, immersing gentle, fearful vocals with slight comfort until raw screams of, “Can you help me? God can you help me?” tear through the landscape with unrestrained riff-charged fury.

In the Official Music Video by Crystal Arrow, Draining performs “You & I” on a closed set under an array of symbolic editing to sync with the headspace of the soundtrack. Disjointed momentums, glitchy black and white disconnections, and an exaggerated fisheye lens bring forth the Hellish perception of loss and separation.
