WL//WH Premiere Spectres of Desire
Spectres of Desire is a solo electronic project by Jonny C (The Slow Death) from Minneapolis, which explores the sonic margins of Dark Synthpop with a DIY punk spirit.
The project seethes with despair yet offers listeners a beacon of earnestness in a world full of snake oil salesmen.
WL//WH is pleased to premiere the Official Lyric Video for Spectres of Desire‘s “Wind Horse”, the first single from Spectres of Desire’s upcoming debut album, “Incursions,” scheduled for release on October 31, 2025, via Sweet Cheetah Productions.

To offer a glimmer of hope amidst a collapsing world, “Wind Horse” harnesses the natal energy of protection and good fortune, driving steady punchy beats and gurgling bass lines under a heavy neon wave of flickering droning sequences, layers of wistful icy, radiant melodies, and subtly searing guitar burns, whilst urgent, desperate vocals give into grief to be carried away.
Rather than using AI-generated imagery, Spectres of Desire created the video manually by inserting his album artwork and lyrics into a free software, syncing seamlessly with the DIY ethic.
Spectres of Desire‘s upcoming album, “Incursions”, will be released, in Digital & Cassette formats, on October 31, 2025, via Sweet Cheetah Productions.
