Italian ‘Occult Dark Wave’  kindred spirits unit of Philippe Marlat and Stephan Seth, a.k.a. iamnoone, defines the electrifying dark and cold Post Punk moods of the forthcoming album, “The Joy of Sorrow”, due out next Autumn 2024 via German label Cold Transmission Music, teasing tomorrow’s release of its second single “third, fourth and fifth”, with a DIY Music Video, WL//WH is very pleased to premiere.

Once we started discussing our experiences, we noticed some patterns: it’s kind of easy to get to do something for one or two times, the following occurrences, though, tell some story. We realized the third time we did something usually was not a coincidence, the fourth time it meant we were really serious about it and the fifth usually meant we would be going on indefinitely.

A moving metaphysical exploration of the soul, “third, fourth, and fifth” bounces its way over a vibrant bed of steady crisp marching beats and humming bass throbs, wrapped by obsessively twinkling lines of wistful guitar bleeds and cinematic, cold synth flows, to echo magnetic spoken word vocal layers, with a stirring tonal balance of textures and emotional support.

The symbolic black and white visuals sync the inspirational silhouette of a martial artist’s training exercise with the spirit of the soundtrack. An evocative performance by iamnoone dressed in their signature Post Punk style, stirs the soul with eye-penetrating determination, while the iconic austere grace and strength of an Asian spiritual warrior uplifts with timeless fascination.

Iannone’s new single, “third fourth, and fifth”, will be released, on Bandcamp & Streaming Services, tomorrow, July 19th via Cold Transmission Music. while the studio album, “The Joy of Sorrow”, is scheduled for this Autumn 2024.
