Weekly Shoegaze/ Dreampop / Psychedelic / Indie Tips #42

  • UK shoegaze baggy/dream pop/shoegaze/psych/ indie band from Southampton, SUPERDRONE “Freedom” from new “The Creation” EP on Shore Dive Records

Although a tribute to the UK sound of the early ’90s, the new EP from Southampton‘s stargazers moves from hazy psychedelic rapture, noisy shoegaze distortion, to slinky baggy grooviness with such a confident, invigorating and gripping intensity that thoroughly absorb yourself in.

  • Japanese bedroom/jangle/indie pop project/band, Pale Beach – “Enough Already” ltd. 2-track tape debut single on Miles Apart Records

The Japanese band Pale Beach won my attention with their breezy and delicious debut song just unveiled on Soundcloud a few weeks ago. • Sevilla, Spain indie/jangle/dream pop quartet Terry Vs. Tori – ”Keepsake Box” last single from the upcoming debut LP álbum “Heathers” on El Genio Equivocado

Sevilla‘s indie pop finest Terry Vs. Tori are approaching their long-awaited debut album, without losing songwriting quality and melodic enticement, with the 4th single in a row. The addition of new wave-tinged synth swells and darkly winding bassline inject new intriguing and slightly disturbing hues to their signature refined, shimmering and jangly dream-pop, causing us to glimpse of one of the would-be albums of the year.
