Weekly Shoegaze / Dreampop / Psychedelic / Indie Tips – October #40-21

  • Viedma, Argentina bedroom indie jangle twee pop DIY solo project of Enzo Raffler, aka  Un día soleado “Skate 3” (Single)

Already drew our attention with his previous Sarah Records-infused releases, Argentinian DIY one-man band’s new single, fueled by palpitating rhythms along with a bleak undulating bassline, unbridles nervous obsessive shimmering guitars to carve racing thoughts of urgent anxiety, echoed by catchy airy chorus, through a seemingly carefree daze of lost longing and isolated fear. A refreshingly breezy and engaging twee-leaning, jangly indie-pop from start to finish in an emotional and sparkling vortex of inner turmoil.

  • Sarasota, Fl shoegaze /dream pop band CAPTIVE FRAME “Lost In Grief” from the upcoming debut LP “There’s Always Dawn”.

Equal parts dreamy and contemplative as vibrant and passionate, Florida‘s band last single unfurls shimmering strains of distant, blistering guitar melodies to wander somberly down a lost sweltering path of broken dreams, lit by the haunted fires of crushed clear female vocals desperate to remain “Lost in Grief.”

  • Dreamy surf-pop from Scottish musician David Skimming based in South Korea, LUNAR ISLES “Anchorage” single.

Once again the South Korea based Scot drops a single of introspective and captivating dream-pop allure with a sprinkle of mesmeric reverberant Slowdive echoes, drawing distant lonely emotions, as melancholic as they are tortuous, wandering on a brittle sea of wistful jangly guitar melodies, rippled by sparkling chimes, refracting around dreamy nostalgic vocals to build a detached somber reality of shadowy dreams.
