Lille‘s trio show once again to be more than just a mere Stereolab declination, with a new single replete with the band’s habitual irresistible blend of smoothly groovy indie electro-pop and shoegaze guitar distortion with a refined French flair, in a perpetual soft and noisy dynamic, through a dizzying array of sparkling 8-bit arcade bleeps, erratic bright synth melodies, syncopated beats, deep pulsing bassline and upbeat dreamy female vocals left floating airily, enhanced by delicious dual harmonic hooks, in a last cyber meltdown of subtly swirling breezy and fuzzy abrasion.

New 4-tracker by Moscow‘s dream-pop quartet In The head of the sea, fronted by singer Ekaterina, is gently and organically enshrouded in warm and ethereal atmospheric synth textures, amidst smooth hypnotic rhythms, rife with shimmering melancholic guitar melodies round chillingly ecstatic female vocalizations brimming with heartfelt and nostalgic blissful emotions.
