  • New Jersey shoegaze /post-rock /dreampop project Basileia “Skin & Bones” single

Hazy, atmospheric, sad dream-pop, sober and poignantly restrained, from the enigmatic singer-songwriter from New Jersey, provoked by shuffling percussions, ghostly synth layers and stirring guitars that shimmer with softened reverb over gentle, airy streaming female vocals surrendering to another’s energy.

First song in four years, since the previous album “Loco,” for the Japanese musician, featuring Ålborg-based, Danish artist MIYA on vocals and trumpet, with a meticulous gloss of sophisti-psych pop intricacy, though a lush, groovy concoction of crisp swaying rhythm patterns, warm bass pulses, crystalline strums, spiraling guitar melodies and stirring, wistful swirls of flute and trumpet around deep hued dreamy vocals, soulfully wondering about another’s thoughts.

Perfect-pitched jangle pop from the German outfit that sways in vibrant and heartfelt harmony with airy chiming guitar melodies and emotional brass-tone sophistication, atop easy-going male vocals, shrouded in cheery high haloes, embracing the ride of life with an inseparable loved one, “Don’t you ever let go.”
