A “fuzzy, bittersweet dreampop gem” suggests the London‘s DIY musician, driven by tight yet loose rhythms, lilting shimmery riffs sway and weave with fluttering ringing misty blurs of guitar distortions, desolately hovering and reverberating atop subtly strained, dreamy vocals, expressing the nonsensical mood of being disconnected.

The most captivating flip side of the new two-tracker from the enigmatic London‘s Shoegazers is awashed in 90s nostalgia and soulful romantic moods, as fuzzed-out wailing guitar sweeps swell and dot the wide shimmery lonely landscape on which falling through high dreamy vocals, lost in agony and ecstasy of wavering effusive mists.

As is perhaps clear we have a fondness, we are not the only ones for God’s sake, for everything that revolves around the erratic talent of Australian musician Caleb/Joel Carr, possibly since his music always pulls sensitive aural chords of bygone passions, the latest single under the alias The Boltons sounds like a The Smiths workout of sorts, fully enticing as usual starting from the cover artwork. When people pretend to be in love it feels like the out-of-control electricity of angsty jagged, loose-limbed and chiming guitar melodies cutting through taut hums of sinuously pulsing bass lines whilst restless romantic vocals long for relief from the grating repetitious patterns of expected lies.
