• Copenhagen, Denmark lo-fi /twee /indie pop duo appleseeds! “someone to talk to” from the first 2-track ‘DEMO’
  

A new DIY duo from Copenhagen with a name dedicated to the timeless lo-fi female-fronted indie-poppers Ruth PO!, who to us aficionados of Ruth’s Refrigerators, The Chrysanthemums, The Deep Freeze Mice and everything that revolved around Leicester‘s Rutland Records galaxy from the late 70s onwards, can only immediately draw our attention. Above all the scruffy raw 2 tracker demo recorded on a phone of sparkling and spontaneously handcrafted twee-pop sounds very enticing. swaying stark, obsessive riffs shred anxious tinny shimmering auras around high breathy female vocals and minimal baritone moans to fall deeply into the comforting idea of having “Someone to talk to.” Delicious!

• El Paso, TX Avant-Pop /Indie Rock project by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of shoegaze band EEP, The Rosie Varela Project “My Sunshine” from the upcoming debut album “What Remains” on Hogar Records
  

Rosie Varela from El Paso‘s shoegazers EEP is approaching with geometric gait the release of her genre-defying soulful and melodic first solo album. She suggested to me “My Sunshine” as one of the most reverb-laden tracks from the LP, and in fact, steady drums lead outflowing waves of shimmering distortions organically integrating with swirling bright keyboard nostalgia and 70s tinged-whining and wiry guitar leads to infuse lysergic sun-dazzled emotive rays around cool celestial breaths to embrace angsty vocals falling desperate through a turbulent swarm of distorted obsessions, whilst pain-filled, cutting emotions bleed helpless tragedies from the lovelorn lyrical confession betwixt male and female fears left shivering, cold and alone.

French one-man band delivers stark, haunting, and menacing yet at the same time wistfully blissful noise-filled shoegaze. The new single casts dirty, fuzzy and grungy gusts of melancholic ecstatic guitar distortion floating around harsh, detached distorted vocals releasing bitter breaths of fear into a relentless churning momentum of “Bleak” visions.
