The hyper-prolific young British singer-songwriter churns out a touching tune of bristly C-86-tinged melancholic charm about how the movie director Ed Wood was the only person who gave the silent film star Bela Lugosi a chance during the last days of his life, triggering a nostalgic bittersweet oscillating flow of tambourine-dusted soft stumbling percussions, meandering humming bass pulses, repetitive poignant tinny jangly guitar melodies and insistent lonely weeping keyboard motifs, whilst lost wistful vocals shiver with inhibited support and empathy.

We welcome the vibrant return, after a long time, of the Parisian quartet with their distinctive nuanced pop, nodding to C-86  Sarah Records delicacies and The Cure gleams, rife with springy sun-speckled lightness, shimmery guitar-laden melancholia and dreamy bittersweet vocal harmonies. “For You” is a sentimental love song led by steady bouncy rhythms, along with a sinously humming and pulsing bassline, whilst a jaunty insistent wandering of languid prickly, and sparkling guitar melodies, lift in emotionally echoing vibrato atop romantic vocals and upbeat chorus, declaring an extreme tolerance of discomfort, “For You.”
