The English trio fuse a melancholic sweeping wave/post-punk heart with energetic alternative rock vibes. “You Are The Only One” soars from the outset under the churning thrust of an irrepressible rhythm section fueled by energetic, evocative guitar riffs and a swirling framework of vibrant, glaring synths to surround sincere male vocals with the magic bittersweet feelings of finding a true love that cannot be had.

Enigmatic newcomer Italian outfit debuts with an EP set on four degrees of shadow in classic goth Post-Punk fashion. The fourth, the most persuasive of the lot, is driven by an urgent, lashing drum machine and buzzing, oscillating low ends, while atmospheric, piercing guitar lines, and icy sheen synth saturations provide a lush, painful drama around brooding baritone’s romantic gloom and profound intensity, offering an evocative and poignant distillation of the group’s sound in their most intriguing form.

“A salvo of tracks” that speak volumes from the get-go, replete with frenetic jitteriness, equally sharp and deeply melodic, through an avalanche of jagged rusty guitar riffs, icy new wavey synth washes and robotic danceable rhythms, in the band’s distinctive grittiest old school post-punk fashion, ceasessly pushing forward with obsessive energy while scraping out all the rage and frustrations, and we like it the most when they turn things down a little bit with the hypnotic Wire-like “Between Our Legs”. The collection, which also features three remixes that range from mesmerizing Suicide-esque synth-punk to the surreal dub-wise cinematics, dark and abrasive in tone yet heartfelt and vibrant in its core, wavering between strident aggression and searing melodic hooks, resulting in a fully infectious and engrossing sound.
