Another intriguing dark and evocative synth-driven one-man band from Mexico, as we have been accustomed to in the last years, as the latest LP from El Ojo y la Navaja clearly shows. The droning menace of warped bass tones undulates and bounces increasing dread under cool, haunted and alluring baritone vocals delivering a dire “Omen” of ancient doom, dripping anxiety and fear through a warm glowing whirlwind of sinister synth tensions and hypnotic urgent rhythms to fall helpless into the looming eternal obscurity.

• Dark Punk /Synthpop duo from Singapore, PROSPEXX “The Garden” from the upcoming debut album ‘A Quiet World’ in production now on Symphony Of Destruction
  

Singapore‘s dark punks return armed as usual with emotional ridden swirling synthesizers, instead of caustic guitars, and slightly old-school industrial, retro disco-indebted dance floor appeal. “The Garden” travels back to a time of harmony, warm fires, and strength to ignite slashing mechanical rhythms and ominous bouncing basslines, whilst icy bright synths, laced with anxiety and melancholy, eddy around nostalgic heartfelt female vocals longing in desperate captivity and shifting dimensions of fear.
