As we might have guessed from the gloomier, droning reimagining of Patty Bravo‘s 60s classic and the seductive, infectious electro-pop title track, Laura Zanti‘s debut endeavour evokes an electrifying, magnetic dark sonic spectrum all around, that spans past and present, drawing icy minimal wave shivers and moody post-punk frankness with slight industrial rattles, amid mystical trance and bodily tension, while balancing contrast and harmony without ever losing cohesion.
