Even if, as sometimes happens, the artwork is impossible to embed, the high quality Post-punk and all around YouTube channel NOT for the masses has compiled a large 18-track sampler whose proceeds will benefit a German association to help and prevent Child Abuse. In one of the several exclusive/unreleased tracks included, the esteemed veteran electronic musician L’Avenir deftly delivers trembly dim swathes of stirring synth strings, resounding in an earnest somber lullaby alongside haunted ceremonial vocals of gentle urgent hopelessness, emptily existing in the darkness.

Vol​​​.​​​5” compilation series, a passionate and elegant take on classic ’80s new wave/post-punk sound, imbued with all its most fascinating, crepuscular and solemn elements, the single explores the tragedy of growing up through shivering glowing synths, and poignant reverberated guitars surrounding sad, anxious vocals that brood, then soar into warm hopeful cries.

Hamburg denizens Glaring and Undinyx team up, the former on instruments, the latter on vocals, with a song about “cat’s return home,” a sultry slow slung immersion into a bubbly floating of hollow, crisp pulsing percussive patterns, humming bass tones, slightly strident, reverberant textures and glassy scintillating synth flows over heavenly vocals, piercingly ebbing and flowing to evoke a sense of longing and comfort. Let’s hope it’s not a one off.
