• Hungarian synthpop project Post Analog Disorder “Végzetes Tánc (feat. Laszlo Kathi)” single
  

Rather active since the late part of last year, the enigmatic act from Hungary, this time featuring a guest vocalist, delivers a throbbing, melodic and danceable 80s-hued Synthpop blanketed in Darkwave shadings. The new single unleashes ominously bouncing low ends and obsessive urgent snare beats, pierced by evocative melancholic crystalline guitar lines weaving sorrow and pain, interspersed amongst luminous flashing synth chords and alienating icy airy swirls, to drone in energetic, mechanical rhythmic bursts around desperate and hypnotic vocals, wavering and echoing into a dire, alarming fate.

Return after a long hiatus, the Ukrainian band that had aroused some pleasant memories with a fresh mix of post-punk, noise rock and shoegaze at the beginning of the second decade of 2010. Possibly reduced to a solo project the new single irradiates haunted swirling, chiming guitar melodies over tightly syncopated rhythms, surrounded by airy glaring synth swathes to open inner doorways for numb spoken-word vocals, shifting to hostile shouts and distant echoes when the self-exploration finds the dark, empty isolation of nothingness.

Solo project from Belarus active since last year, but above all very prolific since the beginning of the year that promises ‘cold, dark post-punk in a minimalist package’, and he succeeds often quite well, even though, strangely for an artist from Eastern Europe, denying us the somehow essential lyrics, with the urgent and dismal new single “Execution” driven by lashing drum machines woven with bleak wobbling bassline on an array of compulsive wistful guitar strings, to build obsessively tumultuous moods around submerged and distorted vocals, struggling to stay afloat amid powerfully tragic swells of despair.
