In these disturbing times of plasticky AI-generated mechanized productions, it’s a relief to ‘feel’ the organic emotions that pulse, shudder, ding and screech in the hallmark analog sounds, armed by buzzy pensive synthesizers and tick-tack drum machines. The Polish artist concocts twisted, vibrant and darkly romantic stripped down synthetic recordings that harken back to the equally obscure and fascinating, as raw and bleak experimental configurations churned out in the late 70s/early 80s pioneer heritage, updated by gloomy and anxious, slightly distorted, at times robotic, spoken words, to blend dreams, routine reality, and nightmares into an unsettling yet captivating realm on the outer edges of sanity.
