The weekly live set comes from ace Russian producer/DJ and Hypnotic Connection imprint head Muzikalist, dubbed as the ‘gray cardinal of the Kaliningrad underground, and a true ascetic of the dance faith’, straight from a recent Warehouse party at Moscow‘s Propaganda, with a bouncing, trancey and propulsive mix of electro, acid, breaks and techno. Big!

In an intriguing blend of post-punk, techno, EBM and beyond, up and coming, busy (an incoming EP for SOIL too) German artist Thibeaux, aka THBX triggers ominous bass throbs that expand shuttering, cutting beats strewn into mechanical dancefloor rhythms that rise and fall in a droning, warp speed around slow, callous male vocal’s subconscious stream of secret transformations.

In a fervent and prolific string of impressive creative momentum, Moscow based producer instigates dark and dense industrial daunting moods that ignite icily sinister bright and sharp synth bleeds to inch along the sputtering buzzing bassline oscillations, cut with steady resonant jarring and clanging hits etched in mechanical shuffles, while gravelly cracked male vocals elicit paranoid deception into the trance-inducing flow of dystopian dancefloor rhythms.

In a week of two mesmerizing ‘techno-disco’ remixes from Berlin-based DJ/production couple Vamparela & Brax Moody, our fave is the duo’s Pyrame remodel that unleashes steady pounding kicks and cold whipping claps to build tension along live wire rumbling bass oscillations, engendering layers of hypnotic awareness with vanished voice samples, echoing deception into a sensual dance spell dripping with an acidic serpentine flow.
