Fresh DJ live set from the experienced West Midlands producer Peza that delves into the shadowy grooviest depths of Acid House sonics with intriguing Disco and Electro nuances.

A nostalgic yet bracing trip down memory lane this week, as crisp and metallic as much as funky and acidic, an unforgettable, spine-tinkling Dadaistic techno groove from Kompakt label co-founder mastermind Wolfgang Voigt…I knew people who went on a pilgrimage from Italy to the Kompakt’s Cologne headquarters, such that the cutting-edge and uncompromising German label has been an influential mainstay for many electronic music freaks since its inception in 1993.

Cologne again, for the first Electro compilation from the underground imprint Abstract Rhythm. Local producer provides an electro funk cut that evolves on the syncopated buzzy pulsing bass, warm, stripped down crisp 808 beats and flickering laser sequences, while lush, uncanny synths drift through, amid intervals of obsessive vocal clips stuttering “YesIKnow”, along the eerie moody excursion.

More downbeat and contemplative, the lush second part, suffused with a mesmerizing cosmic flair.
