“MLTX” is the DJ moniker of Porto-based, young Brazilian musician Marcelo Malta, whose dark and groovy sets emerge with a ‘fusiontechno’ strand, fueled by an unpredictable and bold crossbreed of Techno, Indie Dance & Dark Disco tunes, performing like a drummer, to overflow the dancers/listeners with a powerful whirlwind of rhythmic catharsis each time.

Dutch artist, through a rising number of cassette releases, carries a penchant for unpredictable and cutting-edge analog synth experimentation, effortlessly defying categorization, spanning through ‘a distinctive mix of raw electronics, minimal wave, noisy industrial and gothic ballads’. The first two previews wobble amid the subtly discordant and eerie dungeon synth-laden ethereal angst of the title track to the heady and screeching lo-fi rambling of  “In Sorrow”, through a claustrophobic droning maze of ominous grave humming bass line throbs, harsh horny blows, distorted euphoric cries, and an array of disruptive mechanical clashing effects to manifest a nervous inverted realm of chaos and doom.

Second EP for Cincinnati’s producer, whose late 80s Chicago’s old school EBM-tinged stand-out track triggers buzzing low end undulations, rapid mechanical and crashing drum programming, warped icy bright synth chimes, and swirling cinematic FX, to surround distressed distorted cries with the agonizing pain and ominous dread of industrial wasteland doom.
