Two years after his debut release “Arcanes”, Parisian DJ and producer NiKiT has once again delivered a stunning mini-album entitle “Radar” via independent Dutch label Electronic Emergencies.
NiKiT‘s idiosyncratic and particular style effortlessly combines techno with electro, and sometimes even has a dubby touch. Compared to his previous release, the sound on “Radar” has expanded and is more spacey, while staying powerful and extremely danceable.
Celebrated Dutch painter Ditty Ketting conceived the mesmerising cover art.
Opening title track “Radar” pushes things off with radio waves and chunky kicks amidst icy gleaming synth loops that reverberate and blaze unnervingly, revolving around, sizzling snares, crisp hi-hats and densely pulsing, both ominous and hypnotic, bassline, relentlessly building a tantalizing yet dangerous space-out aura of trance-inducing rave alarm.
WL//WH is pleased to introduce the premiere of the Official Video for “Radar” created by Peter Sierpinski.
Brightly twinkling starlight swirls 3-dimensional blurs into a Rubik cube’s slow expansion of tinted pink, yellow and blue segments floating, in zero gravity, through space-shifting to a more repetitive mechanized movement of Industrial precision controlled by levers on grids. Geometric shapes shred computerized waves forming jagged vapour wakes, to revolve into gyroscopic orbs creating a hypnotic vortex electrified in neon green rotations, bleeding into the enigmatic matrix code sequence of mesmerizing dissociative reality.
NiKiT‘s “Radar” mini-album is slated for release on Monday 9 March 2020, in a limited edition of 300 hand-numbered 12″ vinyl copies, through Rotterdam-based underground record label Electronic Emergencies.
Download and streaming formats will be available from 23 March through all major digital music stores and streaming platforms.
