WL//WH Video Premiere: It’s “503 AM” and BLOOD KNOWS Dares to Dream

WL//WH Premiere BLOOD KNOWS

After a long wander of more than a couple of years finally, the Perth based Australian musician and producer, Leigh Craft AKA Blood Knows, delivers his debut album “Mood Swim” via independent French label Too Good To Be True Records.

An emotional collection of 11 electronic-infused groovy and enticing dream-pop songs, from which WL//WH is pleased to premiere an edgy, improvised video, directed by Matt Pitcher, for the whimsical downtempo track “503 AM”.

An insomniac confession dives into the introspective realm of intimacy as fears of being exposed, alone, and abandoned simmer beneath a fragile surface of romantic daydreams.

The soulful and nostalgic, slightly Steely Dan-esque, “503 AM”, triggers nervous, sinuously throbbing bass lines to drive lingering moods through a light, intoxicating air of whimsical obsessions lit by brittle, tinkling keyboard stabs, steady heart-skipping beats, and haunted tinkling ethereal guitar melodies to carry angsty vulnerable vocals and high celestial breathes into woozy ripples of carefree fantasy.

Magnetic visuals filmed in a vacant building under a 2-hour time restraint in Perth, Western Australia by Matt Pitcher capture a non-stop dance improvisation starring Leigh Craft himself. Groovy retro accessories and a perfectly synced soundtrack cast nostalgic 70s and 80s vibes across the set whilst authentic, uninhibited energy from Blood Knows brings a fresh, modern, and personal flair to the outstanding performance.

Blood Knows‘ debut full-length LP “Mood Swim” is out now digitally, on Bandcamp and on the most important sharing platforms,  via Brest-based, French independent French label Too Good To Be True Records. A limited run of CDs will follow in mid-March through the label.
