Last night around midnight European time, Avant! Records unveiled the official video of the second single “So Hard” taken from Zurich‘s synthesized duo VEIL OF LIGHT latest album “Inflict“ which was released on May. The Swiss outfit has steadily proved themselves among the most interesting and edgy names in the wider synthwave European macrocosm. Active since 2013, they have released so far a string of maxis, 2 EP’s and one more Remixes EP (including some storms by Phase Fatale, Blush Response, Codex Empire), while “Inflict“ is their fourth long play.
All these records were well accepted and noticed by the dedicated media and the difficult indeed European audience and the fans of the genre. What genre? Here is the difficult and tricky part; Veil Of Light doesn’t play just-synthwave music. They impressively blend their musings with striking e.b.m. elements, always with an open mind on coldwave and toward the industrial pound they offer some pretty “multidimensional” and synthesized “facts”. Avant! Records underline that “Inflict” LP is their strongest release so far and we couldn’t agree more on that! “So Hard“ follows April’s leading track “Fact2019“, two sonic bullets from “Inflict” LP which all sounds like their stepping stone to a new artistic and musical threshold, and just in case you’re not familiar with Veil Of Light, here is their new album!!!
