Video Of The Day TYMBRO
Tymbro, the Rome, Italy-based atmospheric Indie /Electronica / Dream Pop band led by Gianpiero Timbro, returns with an Official Video by Gianpiero Timbro himself and Simone Serafini for the new single “Disaffection” featuring Elisa Pambianchi (part of the projects 3+Dead, La Porta Ermetica and Dear Company).
The soul-stirring and introspective “Disaffection”, a song about confusion, secrets, and love, unfurls on the churning downtempo pace of steady punchy beats and stuttering low ends, punctuated by prickly, glistening guitar melodies wistfully meandering with blurry sad keys and enveloping lonesome synth harmonics, to achingly echo over light and airy layers of a dreamy romantic male/female vocal unison, dripping angst and fear into a poignant swelling sonorous interlude, where the voices seem to drift apart over the horizon.
A dramatic black and white video directed by Gianpiero Timbro himself stars Rossella D’Andrea as a woman who is caught between two men, a priest played by Luca Gammarota and a worldly man portrayed by Andrea Freda, in a desperate love triangle. The gripping tension builds as they are all on the beach together and she keeps walking toward one, then the other, while Tymbro, Simone Raul Lombardo, Daniele Carfagna, and Francesco Di Giovanni watch from the sidelines. At the end she stands alone, perhaps she simply cannot choose, and color slowly appears on the film as she stares into an open seaside.
Keep up with Tymbro:
