Tranxhaine, the psychologically minded French DIY dark Post Punk trio, returns to deliver more therapy for the traumatized soul in the video for their third single, “Foggy Body Mindless Brain,” a cold and hypnotic electronic track that reveals the tragic side effects of damaged relationships.

“Foggy Body Mindless Brain” sets off high-energy, distorted throbs of heavily syncopated chopped beats that ceaselessly thump along seesaw harsh low, ends, topped by menacing drones and epic swirling flashing synths, dramatically wailing over breathy, anxious, tormented female vocals, fighting the need to disassociate, until a transformative interlude, where fearful spoken words turn to a witchy shrill and perhaps the battle is lost, “If they look, I’m gone again.”
In the paired video, the trio of Tranxhaine stand under a shapeshifting red-and-blue strobe light to bring forth the split psyche expressed in the lyrics. The view is jarring, with blurry trace overlays creating a ghostlike separation effect from the body. At one point, the singer appears to jump out of the scene into a black cat suit-clad persona, where she crouches and hugs her body with an angry, pain-filled expression, syncing seamlessly with the menacing voltage of the soundtrack.
