Video Of The Day The Violent Youth

Synthpop/post-punk band lead by Ausburg-based, Minsk-bred musician Arthur Tsymbal along with Moscow resident keyboard player Egor Ivakhnenko, A.K.A. The Violent Youth drop an Official Video for the steamy and tumultuous track “Elvira”, taken from last Summer’s fourth album ‘“Tam, Gde Nas Net,” the first with all Russian lyrics, due to be released on cassette edition soon in the year via CA/DC Based DIY Record Collective à La Carte Records.

The hazily retro-tinged “Elvira” arouses airy bass oscillations to disperse deep vibrating pulses of nostalgic buzz along with rapid beats’ heart-racing pace, while icy, twinkling synth melodies burst and flutter excitement around intimate animated vocal harmonies breathless release of frustrated memories flowing frantically into the groovy electronic rhythms.

Narrative lyrics recall the memorable moments in a romantic relationship from the intoxicating beginning to the shocking end, sharing the joy, pain, and disappointment exposed by fate’s wicked hands.

Minimal, classic video captures the angsty passion of the soundtrack with an edgy and emotional performance by the charming black-clad duo, set against a solid white backdrop with a special appearance by the stunning title character, “Elvira.”  Monochromatic bohemian style highlights the dramatic body language and facial expressions cast by the spunky melancholic moods, while snappy editing techniques give glimpses of a vintage beauty sporting hip tattoos and a Mona Lisa smile to add intrigue and pizazz to the high energy vibes.
