The Swedish Railway Orchestra, the moniker of Dublin based Electronic musician, DJ and producer Rob Smith, is approaching the release of his fourth full-length album, “Dance To The Drum Machine”, due on July 27th 2022, via fellow Irish boutique record label Blowtorch Records, with a groovy video for the bouncy big-beat-driven third single “Go.”
Egocentric lyrics relay wanton wishes and selfish desires into an unbridled release of pent-up tension.
Urgent punchy, marching drum beats, along with a tightly pulsing buzzing bass line, propel frantic moods through off-kilter asymmetric synth strains, and swirling sirens, to form an intoxicating, glitchy backdrop to a commanding vocal array of nuanced expressions, dropping sassy, swagger, and charisma into an angsty arousal of impassioned bliss.
The immersive black and white video bewitches the viewer with a party-style dance club scene swept in drama and fashion. Spinning disco ball reflections intermingle with a strobing DJ set, raging midnight dancefloor, and aloof shimmering model-esque attitudes cast in surreal props, costume, and flow of motion to pair perfectly with the throwing caution to the wind vibes of the soundtrack.
The Swedish Railway Orchestra‘s fourth full-length album, “Dance To The Drum Machine” is scheduled for release via Blowtorch Records on July 27, 2022, together with the LP launch listening party + TSRO DJ set in Galway
