I’m always looking for the near perfect addictive pop song and the Belgian four-piece The Spectors, since from their very early days, never let me down.
After their fresh and exciting 2015 debut album ‘Light Stays Close’, the band, fronted by bassist and songwriter Marieke Hutsebaut, are going to release, next March, their sophomore full-length ‘OOH AAH AAH’ on Noisesome Recordings / Caroline Benelux.
‘Borderline’, informed by the band’s signature genre-defying sound that mix dreampop, shoegaze, power-pop with soul and psych undertones, unleashes a shimmering cascade of reverberated guitar noise paired with infectious hooks and irresistible melodies lifted by Marieke’s luminous vocals, to create a dazzling rush of pure-pop delight.
