WL//WH Video Of The Day: THE SICK MAN OF EUROPE “Consumption” (Official Video)

WL//WH Video Of The Day  THE SICK MAN OF EUROPE

The Sick Man of Europe is a London, UK-based one-man Post Punk project with Krautrock leanings who has dropped, over the weekend, his debut single “Consumption,”  via Just Step Sideways label, by announcing a series of 10 live dates across the island this coming March, supporting fellow shamanic surrealists Snapped Ankles.

Deadpan baritone vocals are the focal point for an introspective drive grounded by the urgent chugging pace of crisp motorik beats and corrugated, pinpoint bass palpitations, while a vibrant interpolation of insistent glowing resonances, minimal glistening guitar strings, and droning melancholic keyboard rambles, vibrantly haunt and pierce the numb flow of repetition.

To sync with the suggestive lyrics about how people consume and regurgitate information like a computer, a DIY Official Video places a metallic shelf bolt inside an invisible 3D cube and visibly analyzes it from all perspectives. Then, algebraic equations calculate the abstract properties of the object to project its possible utility.
