The Red Dots are a Spanish coldwave duo of Leandro Gámez & Núria Estúñiga from Madrid, they have just released their excellent debut 5-track EP ‘High Waves’.
‘Nightmare’ is a danceable blend of high impact trademark post-punk sound defined by bouncing syncopated bass lines and raw sharp guitars with cold darkwave electronic patterns and steady beats, beautifully surrounded by an emotional and distressed male vocals.
The band’s classy ability to craft haunted and suggestive atmospheres, dark, evocative and melodic at the same time, make for an intriguing listening experience, between past and future.
