Video Of The Day  The Junipers

The Junipers, the longrunning Leicester, UK-based 4-piece Psychedelic Pop band formed in 2005, made of Robyn Gibson (Lead vocal, guitar), Joe Wiltshire (Guitar, keys, bass, harmonies), Ben Marshall (Drums, percussion), and Ash Selden (Bass, guitar, keys, harmonies), drops an Official Music Video for “When She Turns”, the lead single from their forthcoming fifth album,The Solid and the Hollow, due out on April 24, 2026.

Rife with shades of late 60s British psychedelia and dashes of space rock, “When She Turns” talks about when a springtime garden grows, from seed to blossom, in the mind, turning black and white vision into color.

Imbued with electrifying, blazing urgency, the song is fueled by spirited shuffling drumming and sonorously busy, throbbing bass grooves that ceaselessly propel along with vibrant energy filled shivering tension, charged by woolly fuzzed-out guitar riffs, layered with humming, swirling effects, at times obsessively overflowing atop airy, elated male vocals, bathed in a gently gushing lysergic fountain.

In the Official Music Video, The Junipers performs “When She Turns” under a jarring shift of lens focus to sync with the change in perception mentioned in the soundtrack. The band members wear long black cloaks as strobing and inverted lighting joins with split-screen reflections and intervals of dull, bursting neon colors. If you look closely, an overlay with a dancing cat head appears and disappears.

The Junipers‘ forthcoming fifth studio album,The Solid and the Hollow, will be released on Vinyl / Cassette & Digital, on April 24, 2026.
