Video Of The Day THE ALBINOS
The Albinos, the three-piece Psychedelic Rock band located in the countryside of Houston, Texas, unveil the upcoming release of their second full-length album, titled “Enabilizer,” on July 11, 2025 via the Belgian label P.U.G. Records, serving up the first excerpt, “Baptized In Gold,” paired with an Official Video by Cottonbro .
“Baptized In Gold,” offers a clear introduction to the album’s tone and direction. It’s a rhythm-heavy, high-energy track that combines melodic hooks with a sense of momentum and restraint. The song captures the contrast between admiration and unease—bright on the surface, but with something heavier underneath.”
The track unrolls the band’s distinctive murky, energetic Garage Rock sonics layered with rippling, tranced out psychedelic flavours, through a disorienting stormy aura of thick, doom-charged fuzzy bass throbs, unrelenting drum beats, and sneaking simmering guitar strains, to weave, haunting quivers of resonant intoxicating distortions, that heavily hang and churn around urgent, both ecstatic and weary vocals, struggling to find the truth against a myriad of illusions.
The Official Video by Cottonbro blends colorful imagery of a stylish New Age couple with a pair of dark angels to bring forth the spiritual conflict of the soundtrack. The clip is styled in a 60s-70s pop culture vibe and plays vibrant tarot cards and crystals against the dark devotion of skulls and black attire to sync with the fascination and doubt expressed in the lyrics.
The Albinos‘ sophomore album,“Enabilizer,” is due out on July 11, via P.U.G Records. Available on Light Blue Vinyl with a printed inner sleeve.
