After their very promising debut “Camomille”, also the title of their forthcoming first EP due out on May 25, 2018, via Reptile Music, the German noise-pop /shoegaze 4-piece from Regensburg, SWIRLPOOL, have released today the video for their second single “Tired Eyes”.
Shaping an ethereal hazy introspective atmosphere immersed in reverberation, drawn under a restrained swirl of distortion, pounding drums and warm bass lay the foundation of an intricate, layered sound wrapped in a hazy rich glow of glistening guitars and compelling melodies, but not without room for whispered and suffused, yet deeply evocative vocals to transport the listener in a hypnotic dream-like state of deep melancholy and ecstatic bliss.
“Tired Eyes” shows a band already capable of masterfully crafting their own highly captivating and compelling, fragile yet powerful, atmospheric brand of shoegaze.
