SWESOR BHRATER is the solo project of French artist Victor-Yann, brother of the Invasion Planète Recordings founder and former Le Syndicat Electronique mastermind Alaxis Andreas G, with whom he shares the moniker of Bruta Non Calculant.
V-Y sonic experimentations have the unique and intriguing quality to use and melt a wide palette of sounds, ranging from the analogue to the acoustic, folk, coldwave, industrial, electro, without losing coherence and identity and most of all always immersive and engaging.
The video and the song ‘You Have Nothing To Do But Live’ are dedicated to the winter solstice, the longest night of the year and at the same time the beginning of the return of light with the rebirth of the sun.
Built around a mechanical drum machine and accompanied by haunting raw analog synthesizers, it creates a swells of 80’s coldwave suggestions, where the darkly emotional depth of the voice seems to partecipate to the cyclic flow of nature and conveys a sense of fatality and a feel of restless beauty and nostalgia.
