WL//WH Video Of The Day: SWAYGLOW “Jasmine” (Official Video)

 Video Of The Day  SWAYGLOW

Swayglow is the new “Moviegaze” solo project of musician Giulia Cinquetti from Verona, former bass player of Italian shoegazers You, Nothing, and May Eyes Love, who explores an immersive and introspective transformative darkness with the debut single, “Jasmine,” produced by Cristiano Tommasini and featuring vocalist and lyricist Francesca Carluccio from the alternative rock/punk trio So Vixen, the first excerpt from the forthcoming EP,Umpredictable blooming,” due later in the year via Dear Gear Records.

Jasmine is a spirit that loses itself to find a new power and true self.

“Jasmine” is a desperate girl who wanders off into a haunting, murky wooded ambience, shrouded in spectral shadows of misty droning gloom, spelt by sonorous, moody bass throbs, and soft stumbling percussions, torn by searing, distorted guitar strains, that achingly shiver and resonate atop highly strung, atmospheric spoken word vocals, shapeshifting from clear aloof observations into increasingly powerful echoing declarations of authentic self-identity.

Mystical twilight visuals cast a light grey purple aura over a fascinating combination of natural textures, organic elements and symbolic meanings to sync seamlessly with the flow of the soundtrack. A thought-provoking use of lights and shadows creates a curious disorientation effect, while the meticulously crafted overlays fit together like puzzle pieces to bring forth an uplifting metaphysical vision.
