Video Of The Day Sunspire
Birmingham based atmospheric dream-pop solo project of songwriter and producer Jack Jazrawy-Brown, AKA SUNSPIRE, celebrates the vinyl pressing of his recently released 6-track Self-Titled debut album via Brighton‘s independent label Crafting Room Recordings, with a heady, lyric video for the immersive track “The Waves”.
A dreamy, shimmering stream of soft steady beats, brittle, tinkling electric piano-like melodies, wistful glistening guitar strings, and low comforting bass pulses form a narcotic, lounge club sway below the soft, breathless male longings, sentimental croons, and esoteric flow of fear, doubt, and uncertainty found in the intricate shapeshifting solar systems of unknown galaxies.
The psychedelic visuals draw from the hallucinatory realms of spinning laser lights, opaque nature scenes, and geometric hypnosis to open hidden portals of the mind. A nostalgic bedroom performance features a trio of cloned Sunspires overlain in organic imagery with colorful filters and depth-defying textures cast in bright orbs, utopic facial expressions, and the emotional ebb and flow of a seascape to elicit an altered state of consciousness and feeling of oneness with the Universe.
Sunspire‘s debut album is now available on Crafting Room Recordings Bandcamp for vinyl 12″ pre-order! There is an extremely limited number available, which will include a poster and will be signed by the artist.
