The Hamburg-based, Swiss-German Dark Wave duo SIIE returns with an Official Music Video by Franz Schepers for “Indigo”, the first single of 2026, and the third, all framed by stunning artworks, since last year’s debut album “Acme,” via the German DIY label Cold Transmission Music.
The glittery, anonymous masked pair, renowned for their invigorating live performances, churn out a distinctive pliable Hi-NRG fusion of cutting-edge Club Electronica, Industrial Body Music, Electroclash, and Darkwave.
The intoxicating track deftly balances cold driving rhythmic tension with intricate electrifying synth layering and magnetizing expressive vocal allure, straight into a misty neon-lit dance floor dimension.
A crackling and clattering propulsion of rolling, gurgling bass lines, joined by steady stomping programmed beats, trembles and creeps nervously beneath a hypnotic transcendental swirl of sweeping, glaring bittersweet arpeggios and tense, resonant tinkly stabs, washing powerful female vocals through bouts of aloofness, fear and sadness.
The Official Music Video, directed by Franz Schepers, places a strobing “Indigo” lit space around SIIE as they sing and play electronics in sync with the soundtrack. Shimmery lights reflect as streams from the duo’s signature masks through a smoky ambiance to create a dissociative vibe before a mysterious man arrives and begins to dance with the couple. All the while, the singer poses with a translucent veil and bites a chain necklace while a red orb explodes like a firework.
