WL//WH Video Of The Day POWDER PINK & SWEET
Powder Pink & Sweet, the Los Angeles-based Dream-Pop band formed by Cris Verso in 2016, returns with an end-of-summer video by Isla Mae Mars for the new single “Raspberry Lime”, with drums by Roger Brogan, additional guitars and song mixing by Scott Hackwith, and drum mixing by Gavin Ross, via Cassette Recordings.
“Raspberry Lime” describes the brightness of a loved one by creating an enveloping magic shimmery, prismatic aura woven and swayed by echo-laced, glittery guitar tones and soft heart-warming, nostalgic melodies, caressing lush happy/sad female vocals, to gently soar over a steadfast river of marching drum beats and warm snaking bass pulses, with vibrant, ecstatic bliss.
The accompanied short video by Isla Mae Mars paints symbolic collage art in bold colors whilst psychedelically shifting time and space in sync with the soundtrack. Refreshing berries and slices of fruit dance atop swirling rainbows amidst an array of sunny seaside sensations to evoke the bittersweet beauty of an end-of-summer romance.
Powder Pink & Sweet‘s single, “Raspberry Lime”, is out via Cassette Recordings and on all streaming platforms as well as the band’s Bandcamp.
