Video Of The Day  PMAD feat. Killtoys

pMad is the dark music brainchild of Paul Dillon, an Irish musician and songwriter based in Portumna, Co. Galway, who started his musical path as a member of the bands The Suicidal Dufflecoats, Starve the Barber, and currently, The Greeting.

pMad has dropped a DIY Official Video for the single “Closer”, featuring the Australian dark rock three-piece from Brisbane, Killtoys, the second track from the recently released collaborative 3-track EP Trust Devoured.”

A dark fusion of post-punk, industrial, and gothic rock, Trust Devoured is the new EP from pMad, created as part of the powerful cross-band project Exquisite Corpses. Using a shared percussion track from pMad’s original track “Feed,” this EP sees pMad collaborate with two distinct forces: Killtoys and Lunar Paths, each bringing their unique sonic edge to the mix.

Closer is ‘a snarling duet of despair and defiance’ that explores the inner world of voices and choices, placing an anxious pulsing bass line and relentless marching beats under blurry distorted layers of warped agonizing guitar melodies, glistening and bleeding, into liquid waves of cleansing synth swathes, while persistent earnest vocals search for answers to believe.

Evocative black and white DIY visuals highlight pMad himself as he walks without hesitation through a variety of suggestive outdoor settings. Some really beautiful pathways along the sea and through the woods take on a strange negative light inversion before a swing set scene sparks some illumination on the heady issue.
