Video Of The Day Peak Flow
The Doncaster, UK-based 80s-influenced post-punk duo Peak Flow, made up of siblings James and Jools Rollings, plunge into sharp, noise-laden sweeps of anthemic goth punk drive, without giving up their melodic flair, in the new single, “Repetition.”
Dealing with a recurrent falling in and out of alignment with one’s true purpose through a lens of fear, confusion, and loss of feelings, the song is accompanied by a DIY Official Video.
Propelled by a tight, rushing drum programming, the song barrels through an alternation of the impetuous flurries from buzzy, abrasive guitar riffs overlaid with glaring, ringing synths, swirling with high-pitched, flustering urgency, to fence in anxious, desperate vocals with massive sways of droning and swarming distortions.
In the visuals, Peak Flow performs “Repetition” under dizzying editing to sync with the mental disorientation of the soundtrack. Mirror imagery, strobed and inverse lighting, and an array of symbolic suggestions evoke a strong sense of disconnection at the hands of a dark mind scrambling force.
