WL//WH Video Of The Day: PARADOX OBSCUR “Switch To Love” (Official Video)

Video Of The Day  PARADOX OBSCUR

Paradox Obscur, the Athens-based retro Synth Wave duo of Toxic Razor and Kriistal Ann, returns to WL//WH with an Official Video, directed by the Venezuelan filmmaker Mariangela Pluchino, forSwitch To Love, the second single from their forthcoming sixth album “IKONA,” due out on September 12, 2025, via Metropolis Records.

The Greek duo has developed over the years a mesmerizing genre-bending, analog electronic sound, beautifully arranged on hypnotic rhythms, both moody and uplifting atmospheric textures and spellbinding vocalizations, to compel a visceral, entrancing dancing experience.

In a world of material obsession, “Switch To Love” invokes an upbeat shimmering neon dancefloor of sneakingly nervous, warm bass pulses, skipping snares, euphoric stabs, and an array of vibrant rousing synth strains, to sway and swirl around deeply impassioned female vocals, briefly changing into knowing spoken words, yearning for acceptance beyond flesh and form.

The Official Video, a stylish urban homage to love, was shot entirely on 16mm film by the Venezuelan director Mariangela Pluchino. Finnish cinematographer Ville Piippo crafts an evocative neo-noir aesthetic over the mysterious Fate-filled romance while Paradox Obscur performs “Switch to Love” in the shadows.

Paradox Obscur‘s 6th full-length album, “IKONA”, will be released on September 12, 2025, in ltd. CD /Vinyl 12″ /Limited Edition  & Digital formats via Metropolis Records.
